September  News and Updates

Well it's that time again. Haul-out is looming ahead. You can feel fall in the air and the mornings are crisp.

Thank you for another successful Labour Day event. We had a great turn out and feedback on the venue and hope to repeat it again next year.

For all the new customers. Fall haul-out has begun. We haul out to your schedule with some limitations. You are required to complete a haul-out form. Details below.

More tidbits below...read on!

Haul-Out

Forms are available in the office or on our website (be sure to receive a confirmation)

"Ready date" is when you are finished with the boat. "Required date" is the date you wish to have the boat out by. We require min. 5 working days between these dates.

There are no owner present haul outs available.

All boats must be out by Nov 1st.

The owner assist mast schedule is 4 slots on Monday's (2 in the AM and 2 in the PM), 2 slots on Tuesday's (PM) and 2 slots on Thursday' (PM). Details and the schedule are available in the store.

Every single boat in the Marina has different starting methods.

Make sure you notify us of any special starting instructions i.e. open engine thru hull. WML will not be responsible for any damages due to lack of special instructions.

Special Ask

Each haul out we spend a considerable amount of time fuelling and pumping out boats. We ask that you complete these tasks prior to your haul out. The gas dock is open 7 days a week for this service

Winter Work

Winter is an ideal time to get projects done on the boat. Our large 2 bay heated shop can accommodate two 45' boats. We have fiberglass, electrical and mechanical services available all winter.

Contact Lyndsay, Cam or Jeff.

Space is filing up fast.

Successful Voyage

Last month Cam and I reflected on previous trips on Georgian Bay. This year's trip on Renrod did not disappoint. We were successful in dodging the storms and had a great time traveling the eastern shore of Georgian Bay from Killarney to Honey Harbour using the inside small craft channel. Hitting all the top childhood spots. I think the Bad River is still my favourite. Anchored amongst 12 other boats (10 of which were American. The America's Great Loop Cruisers' Association: AGLCA has really increased the population of cruisers in Georgian Bay) I texted one of my childhood cruising buddies a picture of 3 boats tied to the rocks. I said guess were this is ? ...his reply ...Looks like the Bad River...and who is this? Lol! We had a great phone conversation about his now cruising adventures in BC and living on his boat.

As a valued customer we appreciate your business and continued support of the Marina and Yacht Club

Enjoy your boating season!

Sincerely,
